Join the Our Climate Team

Our Climate’s Environmental Justice Fellowship is a year-long, fellowship that is open to youth who are located outside of our field state programs.

Fellows commit to 7 hours/week $16/hour of work, and will coordinate within and between field teams to achieve national campaign goals. Fellows receive weekly one-on-one and group support from Our Climate staff. 

In This Program Fellows Will:


  • Learn from the works of organizers and change makers in the environmental justice movement

  • Dive into intersectional environmental justice topics

  • Review historical and current pivotal moments in the movement 

  • Collaborate with partner organizations and coalition members to advance science-based, equitable and intersectional climate policies

  • Creating social media content

  • Build their network of local and national partners.

  • Location: The Fellowship is run remotely online.


  • Positions available: 2


  • Time commitment: 7 hours per week


  • Suggested age range: 16-30



  • Wage: $16/hour

All Fellows Will:

  • Participate in curriculum calls  and complete weekly readings;

  • Participate in weekly video calls with the Environmental Justice and Communications Manager Audrey Alonso ;

  • Participate in weekly one-on-one calls with Our Climate staff;
  • Attend co-working + office hour time as needed with Our Climate staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

We’re seeking candidates who are team players, results-oriented, and dedicated to our mission. Candidates should demonstrate the following:


  • Are a part of an environmental justice community (not in fellowship states NY, MA, FL, OR, MA)

  • Belief in the power of grassroots organizing and empowering young people to become compelling advocates;


  • An organized, collaborative, and proactive work style;


  • Ability to work in remote, fast-paced, and flexible working environment;

  • Commitment to climate, environmental, and social justice.
