Details: Each Fellow will receive an additional $500 educational reimbursement to deepen their education on youth climate leadership and policy advocacy. Fellows are also eligible to receive college credit through the fellowship depending on their school. 

Background: Our Climate empowers and mobilizes young adults to pass bold, equitable, science-based climate policies on a state level to combat climate change. We believe the generations most impacted by climate change need to be at the table when policies that impact our futures are being written and negotiated.

Overview of position: Our Climate’s Fellowship is a structured program in which participants organize their peers, engage the media, collaborate with partner organizations and coalition members, attend events, and meet with Members of Congress to advance science-based and equitable federal climate policies. Fellows commit 7 hours/week, and will coordinate with a cohort of Fellows and Field Representatives to achieve campaign goals. Fellows receive one-on-one support from Our Climate staff.

Desired Qualifications: 

– Ability to attend hour-long calls Mondays at 8pm EST and Wednesday at 6pm EST. 
– Comfortable public speaking
– Excellent writing skills
– Experience organizing events
